Walgreens Expressions Challenge Honors Chicagoland Teachers During the Month of May
A special spotlight put on four area high school teachers
Chicago, May 4, 2020 National Teacher Appreciation Week, is May 4-8, 2020, but Walgreens Expressions Challenge is celebrating teachers all month long. Four high school teachers in the Chicagoland area will receive special recognition from Walgreens for going above and beyond their ordinary duties to encourage students to creatively express themselves through art, spoken word and videos on very real topics to make a difference in their schools and community. Each teacher will receive a special Teacher Appreciation certificate, along with a gift card and will be featured in select Walgreens locations in the areas around their schools.
Teachers are the driving force behind Walgreens Expressions Challenge, which is a platform that gives youth a voice to help their peers live healthier lives.
Among the teachers being celebrated include:
1. Ms. Kara Escalante, Art teacher, Roosevelt High School
2. Ms. Mary Rossi, Art teacher, Chicago Agricultural High School
3. Mr. Michael Cullinane, Journalism teacher, Nicholas Senn High School
4. Ms. Jeanne Miller, English teacher, Homewood-Flossmoor High School
