Bully, why can’t you see the pain at home already makes me cry?
I come to school to get away
but you hurt me worse with the words you say.
Following me up and down the halls,
laughing at the names I’m being called.
You want to fight me?
Scheduling brawls,
in the street –
when I’m more worried about home…
there’s no food to eat.
Why bully me there is no need?
If you knew my story sorry you would feel indeed.
I go to school,
make the grades because,
my life at home is just a maze.
Killing me softly
you have no idea, walk a mile in my shoes
you’ll know how I feel.
I’m not here to be your friend or your mate
I’m trying not to end up some man’s date.
Bully me why I ask?
Does happiness ever last?
I know you see the knots and bruises
this is not life that one chooses.
My basic needs. No one to care:
Messed up hair? Worn out shoes?
In this game of life I seem to be born to loose.
Did you know today at home
there was no lights or gas?
But you push me in the bathroom
to beat me fast
I cry and beg how long will the pain last?
Put a stop to bullying what will that mean?
To me that the clouds open and all of the glory of the sun
I now can see.
Everyone wants love,
no one wants pain, but you can’t have a rainbow without a little rain.
